A reader asked the following:
1. Will horses have a minimum bid?
Horses will have a minimum bid established but it has not been determined to date.
2. What were the approximate prices of last year’s carousel horses at auction?
Last years Horses of a Different Color auction bids ranged from $800 to $5000.
3. Can someone make a bid prior to auction night?
Online bidding is scheduled to begin the week of August 25th. Check the rockonmainstay.info web site for details soon! Phone bidding will also be available for anyone who cannot attend the auction on September 25th. (Prior arrangements must be made for telephone bidding or bidders are free to give Main Stay a “maximum” bid and someone will bid in proxy.)

I’ve asked everyone who knew Hope to take a family picture with her horse beautifully created by Jo Williams. So if you knew Hope feel free to take a picture and get it to us! I can’t wait to get them all together! Although Hope only got to ride once at Mainstay before things got worse she loved every second of it and I think her previous riding experience really helped her stability in spite of all the meds that were on board at the time.

Rock On Photo Show…
The horses are on display through Labor Day. Then they will be auctioned off September 25th with the proceeds going to Main Stay Therapeutic Riding.
The rocking horses are a follow up to the ‘Horses of a Different Color’ carousel horses that were in Woodstock last summer.
Main Stay is a nationally accredited program and has been changing lives by using horses to heal humans for over 23 years. From young children living with autism, cerebral palsy or Down’s Syndrome, to survivors of traumatic brain injuries, car accidents or stroke, to seniors coping with Alzheimer’s, or at risk teens – Main Stay continues to help people find, recover and build new abilities.
